Welina Kākou!

Paepae o He'eia is a private non-profit organization dedicated to caring for He'eia Fishpond – an ancient Hawaiian fishpond located in He'eia, Ko'olaupoko, O'ahu. Established by a group of young Hawaiians, Paepae o He'eia works in partnership with landowner, Kamehameha Schools, to manage and maintain He'eia Fishpond for the community.

Paepae o He'eia was established to mālama He'eia Fishpond and serve as kia'i to this precious resource and treasure.

E KALA MAI....ALL THREE DAYS FILLED! Join us this summer to help in our predator fish eradication program. Bring your family, friends, and poles to help us remove Barracuda, Papio. and To'au, etc. One day in June, July, and August.

Dry Stack Wall Building - Summer Workshops
E KALA MAI....Wall Building Workshop #1 (Billy Fields) is full. Space still available in Workshops #2 (July 19) and #3 (Aug 16). Paepae o He`eia is hosting three (3) workshops in June, July and August 2008 to teach Hawaiian-style masonry, a.k.a. "dry stacking" to interested individuals. Registration is $20 per person and includes a full day of working with experienced craftsmen, a t-shirt, breakfast, and lunch.

Seeking motivated and interested volunteers willing to learn Hawaiian dry stack rock wall building at He`eia Fishpond. Stipend to follow 20 hours of work. Funded by HTA.
